too hard is okay. this was the title of our sermon at church this morning. which right now feels like one we didn't need to miss.
things are happening in droves around our home. we recently found out that becky will be laid off at the time of her pregnancy which has been a huge cloud over our heads. we also learned our landlord will be returning to our house and there is no way to terminate our lease early. when does our lease terminate. yeah. when the baby arrives. we are bound and detemined to keep in the utmost high of spirits to enjoy this wonderful new addition our lives. but man it is going to be rough.
i have been working alot lately. feeling as if i don't see the fam much. it is definately taking a toll on the wife and myself in a big way. but it comes at a time when we really could use some extra money.
the boys have been fighting alot more lately. really being able to see the age difference between the two. our oldest, nate, seems to be hitting the tween years and developing an attitude at the same time while our youngest, chase, is just his energizer bunny self as usual. they are not mixing well.
but then some recent moments have put a little inspiration in my head. from our oldest wanting to spend the rest of his birthday money, buying his own bible. to our preachers return with the uplifting message this morning.
i am anxious to see how things are going to pan out in the next few months and excited to meet our new little baby girl. no matter where we are living and if we are both employed or not. i do believe this may be the right time for a miracle.
too hard is okay.

here it is. our blog. and what better way to start it off but with a bang.
seriously. like fireworks.
we hit our friends will and sandi up to an invite for their annual 4th of july bash last weekend. it was a great time. they rented a 19' inflateable water slide for the kids. our kids were on it from 4:30-9:00. just after sunset, we hit up the fireworks which was a total blast. i followed the grand master wills lead and helped with the fusing of the grand finale. who knew scotch tape could be used for pyro.
it was fun. great food. great friends. and a happy 4th of july. i even got to carve a little with a nice patriotic piece on a watermelon.
